Turn Facebook into a Learning Environment

Being on social media is neither good nor bad, it depends on how you use it and for how long you use it. Whenever I go online on Facebook or LinkedIn it feels less like the typical social media experience that includes cat videos and more like learning or broadening my horizon. The reason is that I follow many pages focusing on business, culture, geopolitics, fashion, and literature. To become more productive, unfollow time consuming pages and start following ones that teach you something worthwhile about your field of profession or the world in general. Instead of seeking fun on social media, connect with a friend and go out to have a drink in real life. I promise that it will be more fun that any possible cat video. I have listed 20 of my most favorite pages on Facebook and I hope one or more will resonate with you as well. Happy learning!

  1. Great post. I have Facebook but only really have it to keep connected with people I meet through life. The real connections build when we meet in real life!
